The Role


  • To be responsible for the management and operations of the maintenance and housekeeping (Services) department at Guardian Distribution Centre to support the Dc in Maintenance effectiveness and efficiency of all equipment and MHE in the premises.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Establishes maintenance and housekeeping objectives, goals, processes, and plans in support of Dc Strategic directions.
  2. Responsible for advice and counsel to management on their compliance to maintenance of equipment and MHE cleanliness of the premises
  3. Plan and implement Maintenance and housekeeping programme and solutions in support of Dc Operations which require a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of asset and maintenance principles.
  4. Review, evaluate, recommended changes and/or develop and implement new ideals, programme as required for maintenance of MHE,light and equipment.Require analytical and problem solving skills.
  5. Ability to conduct and support maintenance breakdown, investigations involving company personnel, assets and contractors and maintain the record and analysis of the record.Implement check on regular maintenance checklist of all equipment e.g Air conditioner ,Repair and maintenance of fire door, proper charging of battery ,Blower MHE,Fire extinguishers ,cobweb regular cleaning, hoist permit and suitability of operating ,Dock level,Fans,High bay light, light ,toilet and office ,shutter door, racking and primary slot cleanliness.Inculding toilet,MHE training programme,follo up recording, sprinkle valve system ,tote box asset and repair, Walkie talkie, water cooler, with room, safe keeping of tools for maintenance ,utility monitoring and control,tranning for MHE and battery charging, punch clock, rubbish disposal, painting of lines for walk ways ,emergency light and electrical wiring done by contractor.
  6. Completing investigation and setting the issue of breakdown in a stipulated time, normal duration of 24 to 48 hours.
  7. Responsible for conducting site survey for any breach of maintenance and housekeeping procedure .
  8. Monitor and evaluate unit performance on key services issue and programmed, recommended corrective actions programs where appropriate.
  9. Responsible for planning, developing and implementing maintenance plans, housekeeping programs
  10. Maintain knowledge of maintenance industry trends, current maintenance and housekeeping issues and maintenance technology and update management on risk and threat the could impact company business
  11. Responsible for performing annual risk analysis for the level of all MHE and equipment in the workplace.
  12. Responsible for providing leadership, advice and counsel to Dc management on, maintenance policy and practice ,identify exposure and to recommend and develop corrective plans as appropriate.
  13. Provide advice and counsel to management on the expenditures of resources for maintenance of company assets where compromise or loss of these assets could seriously affect company business. Provide leadership ,advice and counsel to all maintenance and housekeeping staff in
  14. achieving current and long range strategic programme objective

About You

  • Degree/diploma holder/SPM qualification with warehouse experience of more than 3
  • years
  • Hardworking, committed, and smart work
  • Able to stretch on self.
  • Team Player-Supportive and forthcoming in cooperation to the team
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff
  • Required skill(s): computer skils, leadership and managing, analytical skills, Teamwork, MS Office.
  • Able to working 3 shift rotation
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • Applicants must be willing to work in warehouse enviroment.
  • Applicants must be willing to work 6 days per week shift rotation.
  • Applicants must be willing to work during weekends and public holidays
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Safety and Health, Maintenance, Logistic or equivalent.
