The Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining on-premises and cloud applications, servers, storage, and network equipment. Expected to plan, install, configure, and manage all aspects of IT infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-effective delivery of services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Design, configure, deploy, and maintain applications, servers, storage, and network solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Perform troubleshooting, and resolves issues in a timely manner.

Create and update documentation.

Research and evaluate new hardware and software solutions and keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends.

**Experience:**

– Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or a similar role.

– Experience with server hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

– Experience with networking protocols and devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

– Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.

**Technical Skills:**

– Expertise in server operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, or Unix.

– Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.

– Familiarity with network protocols and services, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

– Understanding of computer hardware components and their interactions.

– Skills in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Bash, can be beneficial.

**Certifications:**

– Certifications related to server or network administration, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Server+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), can be advantageous.
