KEY DUTIED AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the electrical system inspection such as, High Voltage Substation, Transformer, LV System, and Generator Set as directed by the Energy Commission or S.T.
• Responsible to ensure the smooth functioning and maintenance of the electrical system.
• Able to handle emergency breakdowns and to perform switching on the electrical switchgear and troubleshoot the technical problem when required.
• Able to coordinate and supervise with contractors for the given assignments.
• Advice and conduct supervision in the maintenance, project or repair work.
• Conduct safe and legal electrical routine checks as per Energy Commission Safety Policy.
• Manage facilities statutory requirements and liaise with local authorities for any related issues. 
• To plan, execute and implement in-house preventive maintenance of the electrical system.
• To advise superior any finding during inspection or preventive maintenance.
• Manage and keep records for all the breakdown, inspection and preventive maintenance reports.
• Manage administrative and special task as per instructed by Head of Operational Services

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

• Candidate must possess a Competency Certificate registered with Energy Commission with minimum B0 11kV for High Voltage Chargeman position
• Minimum 3 years working experience in electrical High Voltage 11kV.
• Experience in High Tension/Low Voltage equipment troubleshooting.
• Expert to read electrical circuit diagrams and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving.
• Strong influence skills to the entire technical team.
• Candidate must be hands-on, cooperative, hardworking, teamwork, responsible, positive attitude and able to work independently.
• Familiar with the installation specifications, testing, operating and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Well-knowledge in basic principles of the electrical system, known constitutive equipment of electricity, HT/LV system, induction motors, firefighting system, generators, power and lighting and water supply.
• Computer literate, and practical on handling electrical high voltage equipment up to 11kV. 
• Ability to liaise successfully with region technical team and related position levels within the groups.
• Must be a team player, analytical, creative and possess high integrity.
• Self-starter, hands-on with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Responsible on handling electrical High Voltage up to 11 kV systems:
• Switchgear 11 kV, Transformer, High Voltage Motor 3.3 kV and 6.6 Kv.
• Responsible on switching of electrical equipment up to 11 kV. 
• To perform Preventive Maintenance works on electrical equipment up to 11 kV.
• To perform Corrective Maintenance works on electrical equipment up to 11 kV.
• To prepare monthly Preventive Maintenance report for HT pump house up to 11 kV.
• To assist superior on electrical equipment servicing works and comply with Energy Commission.
• To assist superior on technical discussion, draft BQ, and monitor work progress on upgrading project for HT pump houses.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (“Air Selangor”) was set-up as the special purpose vehicle of the Selangor State Government, to be the single holistic licensee for the provision of water services in Selangor and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, following the water services industry restructuring.

The water services industry in Selangor, Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya had been highly fragmented and inefficient for over two decades since the water services were privatised in 1994. It is the aspiration of the State Government of Selangor to improve efficiency and restructure the water industry by moving towards a holistic operating model for the water supply services industry.

Hence, Air Selangor took over six (6) different water operators namely Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (“SYABAS”), PNSB Water Sdn Bhd (“PNSB Water”) (formerly known as Puncak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd), Konsortium ABASS Sdn Bhd (“ABASS”), Konsortium Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (“KASB”), Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (“SPLASH”), as well as Air Selangor for the Sungai Sireh and Semenyih 2 water treatment plants.

With effect from 13 September 2019, Air Selangor has become the sole provider of holistic water supply services in Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya operating under a license awarded by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (“SPAN”​).

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd or Air Selangor, a company wholly owned by the Selangor State Government, was incorporated on 26 February 2014 under the Malaysian Companies Act 1965 to provide holistic water supply services in the state of Selangor and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Air Selangor took over the water supply services and distribution systems in the state of Selangor and Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya from the water concession companies, namely Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SYABAS), PNSB Water Sdn Bhd (PNSB Water), Konsortium ABASS Sdn Bhd (ABASS) and Konsortium Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (KASB). Discussion is still in progress to take over the services from Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (SPLASH).
