The Factory Manager leads a team of employees to achieve production goals in a factory. This position oversees the entire factory operation including maximizing the efficiency of the production output with limited resources, while building up the factory structure, and maintaining the best quality of the products.
Factory Manager is also responsible for overall factory management effectiveness, develop and plan for factory automation and maintenance including, machinery knowledges, people management, materials, and full process of the production.

FACTORY MANAGER
OPERATION:
Responsible for monitoring capital and repair/maintenance budgets and maintaining machines well.
To maintain a high level of productivity through improvements, optimization, and cost-saving methodology and meeting KPI.
Always ensure good housekeeping and a safe working environment. Ensure every corner of the factory and operations areas, and all equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Participate in the preparation and administration of the annual factory operations budget; submit budget recommendations and monitor expenditures as per approved by the management
Work closely with top management to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation. Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
To identify training needs for employees and recommend training and upgrading of potential employees.
To create and implementing new standard operating procedure (SOP) of workflow.
To conduct daily briefing, scheduling, performance evaluation, and workflow for the team.
To perform any other duties as assigned by top management
SAFETY & MAINTENANCE:
Lead and managed production teams to coordinate with other departments together to implement company business strategies. Ensure the plans are implemented timely by quality control, energy consumption control, project time control, etc.
Build and develop a Production team. Evaluate the performance of Production team members and be responsible for their performance. Take part in setting up department training programs based on the demands. Supervise and inspect job responsibilities and manage labour discipline.
Submit product reports in a timely manner to the management.
Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
Effectively lead the production teams in the workshop; Supervise and operate the daily production activities.
Develop, prioritize and implement hazard identification and risk control strategies to mitigate ESH risks and provide a competitive business advantage.
Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss, environmental, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
Assimilate results of prior root cause analyses and apply them in new situations.
Implement or oversee environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management.
Establish, a schedule and method for providing wastewater treatment plant service by identifying resources need and reviewing with appropriate management staff.
Oversees operation of facilities to meet all applicable regulatory requirements and in accordance with design criteria. Develops and implements techniques and methods of process control that increase plant efficiency.
Ensure the maintenance team in performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring, testing, and reporting required to maintain compliance with federal state, and local authorities.
Liaise with external contractors pertaining to existing equipment and machinery. Coordinate with the different Government authorities, such as the Department of Environmental, Department of Occupational Safety and Health, BOMBA, DBKL etc.
Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety & environmental laws and regulations, hazardous-condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
Provide effective training for all safety programs including machine guarding, fall protection, forklift safety, hazard communications, personal protective equipment requirements, electrical safety, and safety on walking.
Collaborate with functional managers to integrate safety responsibilities into the standard work of employees through Safety Accountability.
Increase employee engagement by communicating ESH responsibilities at all levels of the organization
This position is required to adhere to OHS rules as documented by the company and actively support the “Safety culture”.
Job Requirement:
FACTORY MANAGER
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent.
At least 8 to 10 years’ experience or above in plant operation working experience with a similar position in manufacturing food products FMCG industry will be added advantage.
With excellent leadership skills; Good strategic view and goal-oriented working style; accountability and integrity, and a positive attitude.
Experience in leading production processes, controlling costs, and people management.
Excellent written and oral English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin communication and presentation skills with both senior management and production.
Computer-literate with working knowledge of common software packages such as MS Excel, Ms Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
Willing to work in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.
