Job Description:

Responsible to interpret written or spoken material into one or more other languages (Korean to English and Bahasa Malaysia or Vice versa) ensures meaning, context and technical wording are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret / Translate verbal and written communications between Korean, English and Bahasa Malaysia languages for in-house Korea staff.
  • Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation between the languages in the meetings such as phone/web conference, in-house staff meeting, etc.
  • Translate technical documentation and other documents, including forms, SOP, email etc. between the aforementioned languages.
  • Responsible to proof-read, edit and revise translated materials.
  • Provide administrative supports to the project teams.
  • Any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned from time to time by the Management.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Professional Degree in Linguistics/Languages, or equivalent.
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels.
  • Must be proficiency in Korean, English, Bahasa Malaysia especially Korean in order to deal with in-house Korea staff.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Experienced of interpreter/ translator in construction or manufacturing will be an added advantageous.
  • This position will be based at Plaza Shell or KKIP, Sepanggar.
