Responsibilities:

• Design and develop instructional curriculum objectives, assignments, tests and students projects in English.
•  Instructional delivery models and implementation of differentiated teaching strategies designed to meet the needs of English Learners.
• Teach and prepare our students to succeed in grade-level academic standards as first language. 
• Motivate students with passionate and creative presentations.
• Assist students to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills via individual and group work.
• Checking and assessing students’ work.
• Effective classroom management and learning materials to encourage a positive learning environment.

Skills:

• Communication Skills: You must be able to speak clearly to students, other teachers, parents and administration officials.
• Instruction Skills: You will have to explain new ideas and unfamiliar concepts in a clear and concise way so that students can understand. You must work to keep the students’ attention.
• Writing Skills: Teachers write progress reports, notes home, and in the case of post-secondary teachers, publish research. Writing skills are critical.
• Patience: The students you work with will have different backgrounds and abilities. Patience will help teachers deal with students who act out or have trouble following the material.
• Creativity: Teachers have to find ways to involve students into their lessons. Additionally, teachers may have to work with different learning styles to get the most out of each student.
• People Skills: Engaging parents and creating healthy relationships with students and faculty will help create a quality learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Education/Teaching/ Training and significant experience or relevant discipline.
• Have the relevant teaching qualifications and working experience in teaching English Language for Secondary/A-Level.
• Pleasant dispositions and friendly.
• For EP applications, expatriate applicants currently in Malaysia are welcome to apply.
• Applicants with experience in English standards-referenced curriculum will have an edge.
• Willing to work in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
