Job Description as a Trainer

1.     Content Development:

–      Design and develop courses and educational materials.

–      Collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure that the curriculum aligns with industry standards, evidence-based practice, and regulatory requirements.

2.     Teaching and Instruction:

–      Deliver training programs and courses for students or healthcare professionals.

–      Use various teaching methodologies, including classroom training, demonstrations, simulations, and hands-on training, to enhance learning and promote critical thinking skills.

–      Provide instruction and guidance to students during their clinical placements in community settings.

–      Ensure that students understand the objectives, requirements, and expectations of the placement.

–      May conduct classroom lessons, demonstrations, and discussions to enhance students’ understanding of clinical concepts and skills.

3.     Supervision and Evaluation:

–      Supervise students during their clinical experiences, closely monitoring their performance, and providing constructive feedback.

–      Assess students’ clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and professional behavior.

–      May evaluate students’ progress through written evaluations, practical exams, or assessments.

4.     Collaboration and Coordination:

–      Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, clinical staff, and community partners to coordinate students’ clinical placements.

–      Establish and maintain positive relationships with clinical sites and preceptors to ensure a conducive learning environment for students.

–      May participate in inter professional meetings or committees to enhance the quality of education.

5.     Professional Development:

–      Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with advancements in healthcare education, clinical practices, and instructional methodologies.

6.     Compliance and Documentation:

–      Ensure that students adhere to ethical, legal, and safety standards in the clinical setting.

–      Maintain accurate documentation of students’ progress, clinical hours, and assessment records.

–      Assist in tracking and verifying students’ compliance with certification requirements.

7.     Any other related tasks assigned by the management.

Requirements:

1.     Possess a Diploma in Nursing or higher.

2.     Minimum 2 years of nursing working experience.

3.     Registered under Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia (LJM).

4.     Possess good attitude and communication skills.
