• Provide high quality industrial relations advice and services to business units which result in improved industrial relations and other human resource management policies and practices.

• Prepare and assist in conducting high level negotiations dealing with important industrial relations matters, including Collective Bargaining negotiations.


• Develop policy and strategy with respect to employee and industrial relations for the organization through benchmarking of market practices, compliance to legislation and regulatory requirements and close liaison with in-house union and stakeholders to ensure dynamic and progressive policies and strategy to support organization goals and maintain good industrial harmony.

• Champion the Industrial Relations matters and act as a focal person to line management and employees through coaching, counselling and feedback sessions including from thorough investigation to domestic inquiry in order to protect the Company’s interests at the same time administrating justice to employees.

• Working in team with IR Manager in representing the Management on all Union matters in the Collective Agreement negotiation meeting and ensure the Union concerns are adequately addressed, negotiated and recommended to the Management at the same time perform check and balance for decision in uplifting the non- executives’ terms and conditions, social and welfare services within the Company’s financial capability.

• Act as a resource person to interpret the terms of the CA to avoid any misinterpretations that would lead to non-compliance.

• Work closely and build good rapport with the Union through networking sessions and meetings to maintain and enhance the Management and Union relationship in creating a conducive working environment and embracing industrial harmony and at the same time assisting Company to solve work-related issues.

• Work closely with other department to implement MMHE employee relations programmes through sports, social and welfare activities in order to promote industrial harmony, employee relationship and display of the shared values.

• Implement Industrial Relations initiatives for both line management and employees separately through proactive awareness forums such as educational workshops and roadshow to ensure clear understanding on legislative requirements on ways to manage misconduct properly in order to reduce no. of disciplinary cases.


• A degree in Law/ Human Resource Management/ Business Administration/Sociology/Other professional related qualification

• 5-8 years’ experience in Industrial Relations management
