PLACEMENT              :         MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL & AUTOMOTIVE SECTION

                                               MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION DEPARTMENT, SIRIM QAS INTERNATIONAL SDN. BHD.                      

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for carrying out management systems audits in line with annual business targets
• Ensuring that all audits and related activities are carried out in accordance with current procedures to maintain accreditation status.
• Responsible to contribute ideas and efforts to the development of systems and procedures to enhance the efficiency of quality system certification and to maintain accreditation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or equivalent) with minimum of 6 years in the past 10 years working experience in the aviation, space and defense (ASD) industry
• From the 6 years working experience, 4 years as an employee or contractor within the ASD industry with direct involvement in engineering, design, manufacturing, quality, or process control within any of the following organizations:
• Major Equipment Manufacturer/Integrator Organization: An organization that designs, produces, and delivers complete vehicles or systems for ASD applications (e.g., aircraft, ships, submarines, major weapon systems, launchers, or spacecraft), or;
• Prime Organization: An organization that designs and/or produces a major assembly, major subassembly, or major component of an ASD end item (e.g., cabins, wings, fuselages, propulsion systems, control systems, health monitoring systems, ordnance management systems, radar systems, emergency or backup systems), or;
• ASD Regulatory Agency: A civil (e.g., National Aviation Authority [NAA]), military (e.g., Ministry of Defense [MoD]), or space organization (e.g., European Space Agency [ESA], National Aeronautics and Space Administration [NASA], Canadian Space Agency [CSA], Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency [JAXA], China National Space Administration [CNSA]).

• In addition, within the 4 years working experience, 2 years as an employee or contractor within an aviation maintenance organization authorized by a civil or military aviation authority with direct involvement in overhaul, disassembling, inspection, testing, replacement, defect rectification, and the embodiment of a modification or repair
• Having ASD Industry knowledge which include at a minimum criteria, an understanding of the processes and controls in manufacturing, and maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) of aircraft or aircraft parts & components.
• Knowledgeable in Quality Management System based on ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110, AS9120 and aerospace related standards.
• Experience in the first, second and/or third-party auditing/inspection/certification with good knowledge in auditing techniques & principle
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, and English (both spoken and written). Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage.
• Willing to travel and possess own transport.
• Good interpersonal skills to build up the appropriate level of rapport especially with organizations being audited
