The Company Info

The Game Designer is a player-centric developer that is always thinking about the player’s experience. They will sit within the gameplay team and will be directly responsible for the development of gameplay mechanics and systems. They will also collaborate with the rest of the design team to build highly re-playable experiences.

They need to have excellent instincts for what makes fantastic and engaging gameplay and the ability to tune for ‘feel’, as well as good judgement and decision-making skills. Your analytical skills, player insight, and creativity aid in crafting in- and out-of-game experiences that engage and surprise players. They should be excellent collaborators and be highly skilled at communicating what they need from other teams to improve and balance gameplay.

This is a key Product Owner role responsible for requires a passionate, adaptive, and pioneering team leader with experience adapting proven gameplay mechanics, creativity, innovation, and business analytics into designing AAA online and mobile slot gambling games for a massive international market.

Your new role in the Company

• Define the portfolio and product strategy and roadmap for upcoming games in collaboration with key stakeholders.

• Take ownership of the roadmap and ensure all stakeholders are well-informed and aligned with the company’s product strategy.

• Foster innovation by creating new mechanics and designs that will engage and entertain our players.

• Collaborate with various teams and individuals to contribute to the development of the next generation of leading games.

• Conceptualize and implement game designs, including creating mathematical models that adhere to defined constraints and exhibit predetermined behavioral characteristics.

• Work directly with illustrators, programmers, animators and other game designers to contribute to the vision of the game.

• Utilize our frameworks and tools to implement configurations for the game modes.

• Conduct simulations of specific game features to supplement theoretical calculations.

• Test mathematical outcomes to ensure quality and accuracy in calculations.

• Review games and provide feedback to the team during implementation to ensure they reflect the correct math model, making necessary adjustments as needed to create world-class math models.

• Analyze performance data from the marketplace to identify future game mechanics and industry trends.

• Analyze post-launch game performance and provide insights into customer behavior.

• Design visual concepts, user flows, wireframes interface mockups and prototypes for mobile and desktop game experiences.

• Provide high level direction on all aspects of the product during the entire life cycle inclusive of visuals, audio, technical implementation, user interface, and gameplay flow. Lead and participate in iterative mathematical design reviews.

What you will need to succeed

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Production Team Leadership/Product Owner role, involved in the development of for-money slot gambling experiences and creating AAA slot gaming products for online and/or land-based markets.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience in game development (table games, slots, keno, bingo) including procedural documentation, marketing documentation, and engineering documentation.

• Previous experience in land-based casino gaming supplier industry

• Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to see both big picture and the details.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and outside contacts of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

• Strong understanding of how probabilistic math models affect player experience and impact retention.

• Experience working with teams through all aspects of the product life cycle, including prototyping, pre-production, production, beta, and release.

• Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to apply creative solutions within business constraints.

• Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities efficiently and effectively.

• Proficiency in MS Office & JIRA.
