Founded in September 2020, Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capital A Berhad based in KLIA2, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ADE leverages the AirAsia Group Engineering Department’s best practices and unsurpassed combined experience in the region. ADE offers a range of aircraft services focused on the Airbus A320, A321 & A330 for line maintenance services, component and warehouse services, and engineering support services.
The Senior Product Designer at ADE defines, drives, and executes Product Design activities within the organisation to deliver an excellent experience for new and existing products and services.
What you will do:
Partners closely with product leaders and managers to influence overall product strategy.
Partners with stakeholders, business units, products teams, tech teams, and other team members while advocating for user needs to develop and implement a design strategy to deliver products with best-in-class user experience.
Communicate with stakeholders, business units, and product teams to understand their business goals, objectives, and product requirements and translate them into tangible UX deliverables.
Own improvements in design based on UX tests and reviews on existing products and systems to identify gaps and subsequently strategise, plan, and implement enhancements to close those gaps.
Own a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams and products.
Understand and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines (brand standards, UI/UX guidelines, etc)
Updated on UI/UX best practices and industry knowledge to ensure delivery of high-quality products and service
Acts as a focal point for UI/UX issues and best practices for stakeholders, business units, products teams, tech teams, and vendors
Your experience and skills:
A bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, from a recognised institution or equivalent practical experience
At least 10 years of experience in product design or UX
Experience in designing digital products (websites, mobile apps, and systems), preferably end to end
Skills/Knowledge:
Strong critical and creative problem-solving skills
Strong visual communication, written and verbal presentation skills
Able to understand and use available data to inform design decisions
Able to lead, manage, coach, and develop senior and junior product designers
Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
Dedicated, resourceful, and able to work under pressure
Fosters an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment
Creates an atmosphere of positivity, empathy, and compassion to foster psychological safety, connection, and collaboration.
Well-versed with the following technologies and software: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Visio, and the Adobe Creative Suite
