Job Summary

Plan and Achieve annual account plan on sales, profit and market share for all relevant On the Go channel (Convenient Store/ Petrol Mart)

To lead and manage a team of sales force and Preferred Distributor (PDs)

To effectively manage the efficiency of trade spent in order to achieve maximum profitability

Job Responsibilities

Commercial Deliverables

1.   Achieve sales target and profit objectives of designated On the Go channel

2.   Monitor sales achievements relative to objectives and initiate programs/activities to ensure sales targets and market share for CVS are achieved

3.   Ensure high accuracy of monthly sales forecast and to ensure sufficient stocks with healthy shelf life

4.   Negotiate with buyer on promo cost and margin and plan to achieve account profitability

5.   Manage and optimize trade fund and achieve planned trade spend KPIs

6.   Identify and pursue opportunities for extending distribution and increasing sales through promotional activities with designated retailers/outlets

7.   Have a good and sound knowledge on the Category Marketing by channel and able to articulate the understanding into commercial strategy to drive On The Go channel.

8.   Have experience in handling external data management – AC Nielsen, Kantar, Shopper insights…..

9.   Yearly AOP strategy planning for On the Go Channel and Budget preparation

10.   Experience in managing distributor in driving performance, distributor management and mixed sales team

Customer Programs

1.   Develop and execute annual business plan, execute strategic strategy and promotional activities

2.   Conduct regular business review with designated accounts and distributor – at least half yearly business review

3.   Manage, negotiate and fulfill existing contractual agreement

4.   Develop and maintain good customer service and mutually benefiting relationships with existing retailers

Commercial Works/ Executions, Others

1.   Analyze and work on post evaluation on the effectiveness of promotional activities, trade spent/investment and results. Aim to achieve planned ROI/Promotional 

2.   Coordinate the execution of exclusive promotion, display set up and roadshow between commercial marketing, operations team/distributor and in store 

3.   Coordinate between customer and distributor on ordering and delivery 

4.   Negotiate on category development project works with customer

5.   Trade Visit to trade on bi-weekly basis together with sales team

6.   Drive to achieve the sell in between internals cross functional department – supply chain and demand planners and PDs on ordering and delivery

7.   Analyze and report customer insight for sales strategy improvement

Other business functions 

1.   Close working relation with finance, demand planners, supply chain and ensure region KPIs are met for the stipulated function.

2.   Talent Development and ensuring strong team morale and high-performance culture being inculcated

Skills and Experience

1. Knowledge & technical: 

Minimum 5-8 years in the fast-moving consumer goods industry with a strong engagement in On The Go Channel

2. Industry background: Prefer someone in MNC FMCG for at least 5 years. 

3. Education qualification: Min. Degree in Business Graduate or relevant studies. 

4. General skills/ attributes:

-Good understanding of business environment and its dynamics

-Possess strong leadership attributes-

-Strong interpersonal skills, good commercial acumen, resilient and have positive attitude

-Good understanding of company directions and its business essentials and capabilities


5. Experience: 

-Experience in managing On The Go Channel in FMCG independently. 

-Strong portfolio in On The Go channel with contacts.
