• Analysing sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs. Forecast profits/sales, Buying Income and managing budgets.
• Negotiating quantities and delivery timescales.
• Retail merchandisers are responsible for ensuring that the right amount of goods are available in store and are being sold at the right price.
• Creating and organizing promotions and advertising campaigns
• Managing layout plans of store and maintain inventory of products
• Must be confident and excellent communication skills, should be dealing with merchandising teams, other teams internally (marketing team on promotion), possibly right up to Director of Merchandising and Operation team in branch.
• Need to be strong enough to keep calm when under pressure as well as require quick thinking to spot trends, evaluate large amounts of data and make sound decisions. Things can change very quickly and there are always deadlines to meet.
• Provide timely update and reports to Merchandising Senior Manager on the areas of responsible.
• Any other related job as and when assigned by the superior.
