Required audit & tax assistants by an established audit firm in George Town to commence now to September 2023, RM2,600 to RM3,500 (with experience in small & medium practices) + extra up to RM300 for language skills in English & Mandarin. Perks incl. health incentive, easy parking, min 2 reviews p.a., on job & structured trainings.

As an Audit & Tax Assistant, you will be the key person to manage audit & related tax engagements and enable open communication with subordinates and superiors in addressing Manager’s or Partner’s concerns/issues and escalating the concerns/issues when they arise. 

You will play an important role to:

  • To direct and manage multiple audit engagements and related taxation issues.
  • Committed in completing audit engagements given within specific time frame.
  • Ability in communicating professionally within the team and with external parties, including tax & audit clients and authorities’ bodies.
  • Create positive learning culture by coaching and supporting junior team members.
  • Take initiative in reading and understanding Accounting & Auditing Standards, MPERS and other related laws and regulations.
  • Travel to different states within northern Malaysia for audit engagements.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least a Diploma or LCCI, AAT/Professional Degree in Accountancy or equivalent. Required language(s): English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Healthy & able to withstand expected stress and commitment in meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passionate, positive and keen to learn.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferably at least 1 Year of working experience in the related field BUT fresh grads & interns are welcome to apply.
  • Part time or sub-contract job-by-job basis available.
