Position Overview:
Insulet is a high-growth medical device company, with the mission of improving the lives of people with diabetes, listed on the NYSE (PODD). The Senior Accountant, International will support the monthly/ quarterly accounting close and financial reporting process of Insulet’s International business. The International region currently consists of EMEA, APAC and the Middle East with customers in the B2B, B2C and medical sector (e.g. health insurance funds) and exists of 15 legal entities and/or branches. The Senior Accountant will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting.

The Senior Accountant will be tasked with managing accounting entries, documents, payment information and recording other financial transactions for both group reporting purposes and local statutory reporting. Work closely with finance leaders in a fast-paced public company to execute on financial operational initiatives, monthly financial reporting and internal control compliance.

In this high-growth and fast paced environment continuous development of the processes and systems is crucial. The successful candidate for this role should preferably have a track record of having identified and implemented process and systems improvements. As such, the Senior Accountant should provide a thorough understanding of ERP systems. In January 2023 Insulet International implemented SAP4/Hana.

Responsibilities:

Support the execution of the monthly financial close process including creation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist in the review of monthly US GAAP results and preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting to US Parent in relation to the 10Q/K consolidated reporting.
Support the quality and timeliness of internal control requirements associated with general ledger reporting, including SOX404.
Support the team in working with external advisors in the preparation and audits of statutory financial statements and supporting notes as well as support the tax team in view of the preparation of corporate tax computations, returns, and ad hoc tax requests.
Assist the Senior Manager, Accounting International in the review of the accounting activities performed by the accountants in the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Competencies

Up to 6 years related accounting experience in a fast-growing environment; or large multinational public accounting experience. Experience with manufacturing accounting a plus.
In possession of a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA or CPA) or equivalent.
Solid accounting knowledge, with a strong knowledge of international accounting and auditing standards, such as US GAAP, IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley legislation.
Deadline driven with highest possible accuracy.
Strong experience working in ERP systems, with SAP as preferred.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced publicly traded a plus.
Prior experience working with foreign currencies a plus.
Preferably a track record of continuous development of processes and systems
